General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – Compliance policy
The EU Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679 - GDPR) is the new regulation in force in the European Union on 25/5/2018 and represents an overhaul of the existing legal framework with regard to the protection of personal data of individuals. The GDPR imposes a new set of obligations on every business and enhanced rights on the consumers regarding the processing of their personal data.

Special Tours Wholesalers Ltd as a wholesale travel service provider, either as a Data Controller or as a Data Processor, is in full harmonization with the new regulation.
Based on this:

-We deal with the minimum required Personally Identifiable Information (PII) necessary to carry out our business activities, which are limited to hotel bookings, land arrangements and after-sales service.

-Data processed internally are protected by appropriate technical and organizational security measures, including an internal System Policy for the Management and Security of Personal Data maintained between our employees, as well as their retention limitation only for as long as it is required by applicable laws.

Data are transferred to us exclusively by tourism-related businesses and in turn we transfer them on to hotels, land-based tourism services or joint controllers and sub-processors, only for the purpose of providing the service requested. The legal basis for the processing of personal data is the performance of a contract where the traveler is a contracting party.
Individuals are entitled to the following rights:

1. Access and correction or deletion of data as long as the latter does not conflict with any other legal obligation.
2. Restriction of processing or the right to object to processing
3. Receive their personal data in a machine-readable format and send them to another controller (data portability)
4. Right to withdraw consent at any time
5. Right to file any claim before the relevant data protection authorities.

ATTENTION: The associated to Special Tours Wholesalers Ltd Tourism Service Providers, are the basic recipients of consumer requests and as such they are required to adequately inform them during the booking process about all the above as well as regarding the potential risks for their personal data in cases of traveling to countries outside the European Union or approved by the European Commission  https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/law-topic/data-protection/data-transfers-outside-eu/adequacy-protection-personal-data-non-eu-countries_en

In the event of any customer-consumer request, the Associate Tourism Service Provider must promptly inform Special Tours Wholesalers Ltd in order to respond within the one-month period as specified by the Regulation.
